IDR is seeking a Analytics Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA. This role is focused on supporting a major enterprise data modernization initiative, including building new data lakes, data warehouses, and BI layers to enable better insights and reporting.
Position Overview for the Analytics Engineer:
- Support the development and optimization of analytics solutions from data warehouse modeling to Power BI dashboards
- Evaluate existing data models and reporting, recommending improvements for performance and usability
- Collaborate directly with business stakeholders and Business Analysts to gather requirements and refine insights
- Design and build analytics-ready data models within the data warehouse to support reporting and analysis
- Document data models, metrics, and reporting logic to ensure transparency and facilitate reuse
Requirements for the Analytics Engineer:
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational data models
- Expertise in designing analytics datasets and supporting BI/reporting platforms, preferably Power BI
- Ability to translate business needs into technical analytics solutions
- Comfort working directly with stakeholders to clarify requirements and refine insights
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and analytical modeling best practices
