IDR is seeking a Android Developer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Memphis, TN. This client is an industry leader in the hospitality space. This team member represents the technical expertise necessary to develop software from conceptual design according to standard practices of development, code structure, application performance capabilities, re-use of code logic, unit tests and maintainability for all application component logic for an Android application.
Position Overview for the Android Developer:
- Develop and maintain Android applications within an Agile REST development team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions.
- Ensure code reusability, performance optimization, and maintainability of application components.
- Work on integrating IoT and WebSocket technologies into mobile solutions.
- Follow best practices for testing and code standards to deliver reliable mobile applications.
Requirements for the Android Developer:
- Minimum of 8–10 years experience as a developer responsible for Android application.
- Minimum of 6–8 years’ experience in Java EE development including Java 8 & 11.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK and experience building modern Android applications using Android Jetpack.
- Experience in IoT and WebSocket technologies will be considered a major preference.
- Experience developing using Android SDK “Leanback” library (TV) will be considered a plus.
