IDR is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join one of our top clients for a hybrid opportunity in Atlanta, GA. This role is pivotal for providing advanced technical support and managing complex IT systems. The organization is committed to delivering reliable IT solutions that support infrastructure and operations.
Position Overview for the Application Support Engineer:
- Provides management information system user support via phone and onsite visits
- Troubleshoots end-user problems and analyzes software issues
- Designs and supports software modifications to meet user needs
- Develops and conducts training programs for software and hardware users
- Serves as a lead or trainer for support staff when needed
Requirements for the Application Support Engineer:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of education or experience in information security, data privacy, system/network support, or application development
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting third-party applications, with hands-on experience in application deployment, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Strong experience with Java-based web applications and application configuration
- Proficiency in scripting, SQL query writing, and working with Oracle databases
