IDR is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves supporting the operationalization of a cloud-based Lakehouse data platform in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on data accuracy, availability, and performance within the enterprise. This role is requiring someone who can work a night shift (2pm - 12 am) 4 days per week.
Position Overview for the Business Intelligence Engineer:
- Support and enhance ETL and data load processes that refresh the operational data warehouse nightly
- Ensure enterprise data is accurate, highly available, and optimized for performance
- Develop and maintain processes for extracting and loading data across internal and external systems
- Contribute to the design and optimization of data pipelines within a cloud Lakehouse architecture
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile (Scrum) environment
Requirements for the Business Intelligence Engineer:
- 3–5 years of professional experience in a similar role
- Strong SQL and data warehouse experience, including complex query writing and performance optimization
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, Spark, or modern Lakehouse architectures
- Experience with Python/PySpark or ETL tools like Informatica, SSIS, dbt, or Airflow
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
