IDR is seeking a Data Scientist to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, TX, NYC or Cupertino, CA. This role is centered around supporting high-impact analytics projects within the payments and fintech sectors, with a focus on delivering strategic insights through advanced data analysis techniques.
Position Overview for the Data Scientist:
- Develop and implement analytical models using SQL, R or Python to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven decision making.
- Communicate findings effectively through visualizations and storytelling to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support organization-wide strategic initiatives and transformative analytics projects.
- Work in a hybrid environment, contributing to a high-energy team with a focus on innovation and impact.
Requirements for the Data Scientist:
- 10+ years of demonstrated experience in an Analytics and Strategy role.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to think strategically and operationally.
- Proven experience being a thought partner to cross-functional business teams offering actionable data insights and recommendations.
- Expertise with SQL, R or Python and data visualization tools such as Tableau for full-stack data analysis, insight synthesis and presentation.
- Knowledge of and experience in leveraging Applied Statistical/ML techniques.
