IDR is seeking a IT Applications Project Manager to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia. This role supports a large-scale organization focusing on managing complex software development and IT application projects. The position involves balancing Agile and Waterfall methodologies to ensure project compliance and delivery.
Position Overview for the IT Applications Project Manager:
- Oversee and manage large-scale software development and IT application projects within a hybrid Agile and Waterfall environment
- Coordinate project tasks, schedules, and resources using tools like MS Project, Jira, and SharePoint
- Collaborate closely with development teams, ensuring alignment with project scope, compliance, and deliverables
- Maintain project documentation, dashboards, and reports to facilitate auditing and stakeholder communication
- Lead sprint planning, story grooming, and ticket review sessions to ensure project progress and quality
Requirements for the IT Applications Project Manager:
- 5+ years of project management experience specifically with software development or IT applications
- Experience with both Waterfall and Agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies in a hybrid delivery environment
- Proficiency with MS Project or Project Online for schedule development and management
- Experience reading contractual documentation and extracting scope, deliverables, and compliance obligations
- Proficiency with Jira, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Confluence, and Outlook (including Scheduling Assistant)
