IDR is seeking a Mainframe Developer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, Texas. Position Overview for the Mainframe Developer:
- Perform advanced systems analysis in an IMS/application mainframe environment with data from Oracle and multiple Legacy Java systems.
- Analyze current systems and develop proposals to transition data flow away from mainframe to newer technologies.
- Design software solutions for data movement from Oracle-based systems to MS SQL or Snowflake, overseeing the programming of efforts to migrate.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, providing technical architecture for system modernization.
- Present research findings in business terms to facilitate requirements creation and approval of technical solutions.
Requirements for the Mainframe Developer:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related work experience.
- 5+ years of recent experience in programming languages including COBOL, .NET, Salesforce, C#, or Java.
- 5+ years of experience in presenting technical materials for review or approval.
- 5+ years of experience with Oracle databases.
- 5+ years of knowledge and experience with services such as Mulesoft, GoAnywhere, or Informatica IDMC.
