IDR is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Nashville, TN. This role involves configuring, supporting, and maintaining network devices and services to ensure high network availability and performance across a nationwide scope. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team in a dynamic environment.
Position Overview for the Network Infrastructure Engineer:
- Install, configure, and support network and wireless equipment, ensuring system updates and upgrades are properly applied
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability and reliability
- Maintain detailed network documentation, maps, and cabling records for multiple locations
- Communicate technical information effectively with business units and support project team collaboration
- Manage tickets related to network problems and requests, ensuring timely resolution and network support
Requirements for the Network Infrastructure Engineer:
- Graduate from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree in Computer Science (required)
- Must have CCNA certification; CCNP preferred
- 3 years of related experience in network engineering or related field
- Strong understanding of LAN/MAN/WAN topologies, VLANs, subnetting, and routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
- Knowledge of DNS/DHCP configurations, including Bluecat DNS and Microsoft DHCP
