Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Payroll Specialist:
• Process weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls for over 60,000 employees, including union and non-union staff across various locations.
• Gather, analyze, and summarize financial data to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Enter employee data, run payroll processes, prepare reports, and manage manual checks and stop payments.
• Maintain payroll operations by adhering to policies and procedures, ensuring confidentiality, and staying updated with system changes.
• Provide exceptional customer service and problem resolution to operational staff through effective communication.
Required Skills for Payroll Specialist:
• GED or High School Diploma required; Associate's degree or Technical Training preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in payroll or data entry, with proficiency in payroll software systems like ADP and/or Kronos.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication, with a focus on customer service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
