IDR is seeking a Platform Engineer to join one of our top clients for an on-site opportunity in Austin, Texas. This role involves supporting cloud-based DevSecOps practices within a dynamic technology environment, focusing on automation, security, and compliance initiatives.
Position Overview for the Platform Engineer:
- Manage and administer Git-based version control systems, with a focus on GitHub Enterprise (Cloud or Server)
- Implement and optimize RBAC, SAML/SSO, and branch protection strategies to enhance security
- Develop and automate workflows using GitHub Actions and YAML-based configurations
- Integrate CI/CD pipelines with cloud platforms, primarily AWS, ensuring efficient deployment processes
- Support audit logging, compliance reporting, and access review activities to maintain standards
Requirements for the Platform Engineer:
- 8+ years of experience in Git-based version control administration
- 8+ years of hands-on experience managing GitHub Enterprise (Cloud or Server) organizations
- 8+ years of expertise in RBAC, SAML/SSO, and branch protection strategies
- 8+ years of proficiency in GitHub Actions and YAML-based workflow automation
- 8+ years of experience integrating CI/CD pipelines with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
