Program Overview

RIVA Solutions proudly supports the National Guard Bureau (NGB) within the Department of Defense, providing analytical, administrative, and operational support to ensure mission readiness and strategic efficiency across all National Guard components.
This position supports the Executive Secretariat (ExecSec) Directorate at the Herbert R. Temple Jr. Army National Guard Readiness Center in Arlington, VA, where our team works alongside senior military and civilian leadership to streamline processes, manage high-level correspondence, and facilitate timely decision-making for mission-critical initiatives.

Position Overview

RIVA Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Project Analyst to support the National Guard Bureau (NGB). In this role, you will ensure consistent and efficient business processes while maintaining strict adherence to established protocol and confidentiality requirements.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and experience working with senior-level military and government officials. You will serve as a trusted advisor providing operational, organizational, and research-based support that enhances leadership decision-making within a dynamic and evolving defense environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide research, analysis, and coordination support to NGB leadership across multiple functional areas.
  • Prepare reports, briefings, and documentation in support of decision-making and leadership actions.
  • Analyze, streamline, and document organizational processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Assist with electronic task management systems (ETS) and ensure timely tracking and completion of assigned actions.
  • Coordinate meetings, compile data, and draft responses to high-level correspondence.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive or classified information in accordance with federal policy.
  • Support planning and execution of National Guard programs, initiatives, and strategic communications.
  • Interface directly with senior military and civilian officials, providing clear and concise written and verbal updates.
  • Adapt to evolving missions and priorities as directed by the Department of Defense, Joint Chiefs of Staff, or Army/Air Force components.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Economics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in project analysis, business process improvement, or research and data analysis.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
  • Experience working with senior leadership in government, defense, or related sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with electronic task management systems (ETS) or comparable workflow tools.
  • U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of National Guard functions, structure, and mission within the Department of Defense.
  • Prior experience supporting federal or military organizations.
  • Experience in organizational writing, business research, and policy analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to brief executives and senior leadership confidently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in professional environments.

Salary

Up to $100,000, depending on experience.
