IDR is seeking a Senior Accountant to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in California. This role offers a hybrid work schedule based in El Segundo, supporting ongoing accounting transformations within a sophisticated corporate environment, particularly focusing on process improvements and internal controls.
Position Overview for the Senior Accountant:
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Participate in projects aimed at transforming and improving shared service processes and internal controls.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyze variances for management review.
- Lead and coordinate accounting projects, including SOP development and testing activities related to ERP upgrades.
- Assist in streamlining end-to-end processes, eliminating inefficiencies, and ensuring compliance with internal standards.
Requirements for the Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for private accounting experience.
- Proven knowledge of GAAP and proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives and manage accounting projects.
- Experience working with SAP and familiarity with ERP upgrades or testing.
