Sr. Analytics LeadThe Select Group’s Telecommunications vertical is seeking a Senior Analytics Lead for a hands-on role focused on deep data investigation and problem-solving. This position will work directly with leadership to answer complex operational questions related to network reliability and performance.
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in ad-hoc analytical environments, can quickly identify symptoms in large datasets, and work backward to determine the underlying drivers. This role is less about building dashboards and more about diagnostic analysis, root cause investigation, and delivering clear answers to executive stakeholders.
Sr. Analytics Lead Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in a Data Analyst, Senior Data Analyst, Analytics Lead, or similar role.
- Expert-level SQL skills, with the ability to write complex queries and analyze large datasets.
- Strong hands-on experience working with Amazon Redshift or similar data warehouse platforms.
- Demonstrated experience performing root cause analysis (RCA) and investigative analytics.
- Experience delivering ad-hoc analysis and insights to executive stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through ambiguous questions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience analyzing telecom, network performance, or operational reliability data.
- Familiarity with large-scale operational datasets and performance metrics.
- Experience supporting executive reviews or leadership analytics requests.
- Background in exploratory or diagnostic analytics environments.
Sr. Analytics Lead Responsibilities
- Act as a hands-on technical analytics lead supporting executive and operational leadership.
- Respond to ad-hoc analytical inquiries related to network reliability and operational performance.
- Investigate large datasets to identify symptoms, trends, and anomalies.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to determine underlying drivers of issues or performance changes.
- Develop complex SQL queries within Amazon Redshift to analyze large-scale datasets.
- Translate analytical findings into clear insights and actionable answers for leadership.
- Deliver analysis and summaries through Microsoft Excel and concise executive-ready outputs.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to validate findings and support decision-making.
