IDR is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, Texas. This role is within a leading organization in the technology industry, focusing on ensuring the robustness of mission-critical systems through advanced DevOps practices and cloud-native solutions.
Position Overview for the Site Reliability Engineer:
- Responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, performance, and scalability of production systems by applying software engineering practices to infrastructure and operations
- Partners with development teams to build resilient, observable, and automated platforms that meet defined service level objectives (SLOs)
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues efficiently
- Implements monitoring, alerting, and logging strategies to optimize system performance
- Contributes to the design and operation of highly available, distributed systems using cloud-native services and containerization technologies
Requirements for the Site Reliability Engineer:
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering roles
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix systems and system internals
- Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages (Python, Go, Java, Bash)
- Experience designing and operating highly available, distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and cloud-native services
