IDR is seeking a Technical Support Engineer - Automation to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Orlando, FL. This role involves providing advanced technical support for complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, and networked systems within a dynamic and innovative environment.
Position Overview for the Technical Support Engineer - Automation:
- Provide technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel addressing complex system issues
- Troubleshoot and debug hardware, software, and network-related problems in highly technical environments
- Collaborate with design and software engineering teams to report bugs and reliability concerns
- Support customer installation, training, and ongoing technical assistance
- Interact directly with customers/users possessing technical backgrounds on sophisticated systems
Requirements for the Technical Support Engineer - Automation:
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- 2+ years' professional experience debugging JavaScript or Java code
- Experience supporting customers and/or end-users from a technical standpoint, including reporting issues to engineering
- Strong experience supporting network issues and handling OS administration
- Experience supporting ServiceNow platforms
